Who We Become

What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as who you become by achieving them. - Henry David Thoreau

Do you honestly believe the actions of the Good Samaritan changed only 1 heart? Hmm!

If you've ever watched sports you see it often. Dropped passes in football, flubbed/mis-played balls in baseball, false starts in track and field. All because someone was eager to make the most of the opportunity ahead of them before they actually made the play in front of them. We can probably all raise our hands and say guilty as charged. We often see 'opportunity' as a call to take advantage of a situation for personal gain. But what if the idea was expanded beyond self. To view it as an opening to bless or encourage someone else. That makes it a true win-win deal. To encourage or offer someone hope is to truly evangelize, sow seed as a disciple. And anything can happen after that because now the God of the 'impossible' has something to work with.

Until tomorrow...

The Joy in the Journey

If you’re not enjoying the journey, you probably won’t like the destination. – J. Tye
The apostle Paul 'boasted' about what his life of suffering for Christ was achieving for him in glory. Hmm!
It goes without saying that we should be enjoying life each day just as it comes. Amidst all the “Monday Mornings” and the daily trials we should be able to find the abundant life Jesus promised, providing we see it through His nail pierced hands and feet. Though God has promised to care and provide for us He never said everyday would be a breeze nor all of life cozy and comfortable, just that He would be there with us. So it's His company we should enjoy daily. Take time out to find the joy in your daily walk, it’s there if you look upward.
Until tomorrow….
