A Prayer and Praise Pick Me Up!

Some days you just gotta' praise your way through. - Anon

I think Daniel's prayer life had a lot to do with his success even while in captivity. Hmm!

Monster! RedBull! 5-Hour Energy! Coffee! Pick me up drinks, all pretty much filled with caffeine to give us that 'lift' we need to get us going and back in the pace of things. But what about our spirit, how is He cared for in these moments? What do we do to 'pick' Him up? Do we even concern ourselves with His well-being? Maybe if we try a time of prayer and praise, we'll often find it goes so well to pick us up we don't even need the energy drink. After all, the spirit is filled with the 'dunamis' (dynamic) power of God, which very often is all we need to make it through. Why not try a little today. It couldn't hurt!

Fix Your Face

True, God gave us faces, but we create our own expressions. –Sparks
Jacob’s spirit was “revived” with news of Joseph. Hezekiah “wept sore” in prayer. Mary “pondered things in her heart” about Jesus. I imagine all of these pleased God. Amen!
All of us go through various stages of emotion throughout the day and our life, and if we’re not careful we get jaded in our views and personal outlook. But the fact that God loves you no matter what the situation or circumstance should anchor your heart with JOY and express itself overwhelmingly in all you do. So as others see you and encounter your 'spirit' remember it speaks volumes as to who you are and to whom you belong. Say cheese….!

Endings As Beginnings

Life is filled with endings, but every ending is also a new beginning. – Anon
Adam & Eve were ushered out of God’s Garden after the fall ending their special relationship, but by then God had purposed to send Jesus. Marvelous!
It’s true if we really think about it, the one constant in life is change. Every day, whether good or bad comes to an end and there is precious little we can do about it. We can however, thank God that He brought us through it, and begin to look with eager anticipation and expectation upon the next new beginning. This also applies in our relationships, friendships, jobs, and other areas. When God closes one door of opportunity He opens another. May you find His leadings. Today is Friday, the week-end. But praise God – Sunday’s comin.’

Marvel Everyday

Life is not a guided tour, but it is filled with a lot of marvel. – Anon

In the bible we read the great accounts of many folks who had no idea how it would all turn out, but it did. Hmm!

“How in the world did my life wind up here?” “I can’t believe what I’m seeing!” Blessing or hardship, admittedly we are often amazed or confused as to how some of these things or events happen in our lives and why. Situations that cause us to think deeply, ponder over and over. But that’s the great thing about our God. We get used to the routine, want complacency and little change in our lives. But if God’s compassions and mercies are new everyday, obviously so are many of the events He brings to pass in our lives, hoping that we will marvel in amazement of His wondrous love and concern for us. No matter your situation you have to admit He is an AWE-some God.
